No, I'm not talking about Batman or Superman...these folks are much braver than any comic book Superhero!
Recently our neighborhood took part in a national effort to end crime, called National Night Out Against Crime. The idea behind this night out, is to have the Police and neighborhoods work together to fight crime. Our night out was held on October 11, 2011 in our local neighborhood green space.
We met up with some of our favorite neighbors and walked over.
Cohen did not want to take a picture with Molly and Stella, but I took it anyway...those girls are so cute!
When we arrived at the green space, the folks from Bulls Corner were catering a yummy meal (I was not expecting to be served dinner...I was thinking I would go home later and cook something, but no need!).
Molly, Stella and Cohen enjoyed their food.
After hanging out with our neighbors for a little while, the police came by for a visit. They were so wonderful with the children!! We see these guys all the time driving through our neighborhood, keeping us safe. It was nice to actually shake hands with them and have the opportunity to thank them for all their hard work.
After shaking hands with everyone, they let the kids play with the lights and sirens in the police car. They LOVED this!!
