Going to Get Brooks (part 6.1)

Nanjing 10/13 @ 7:30PM

San Antonio 10/13 @6:30AM

Well we got our baby!

The babies didn’t actually arrive until after noon, so we had some time to enjoy the sites of Nanjing without babies.

Our first stop was a local boat tour. This was such a beautiful boat ride, and would have been very educational if we spoke the language.

Our next stop was the Confucius temple. This was another great example of Chinese architecture. It was beautiful!

Evidentially, tossing coins into fountains is not just something we do here in America. They do it in China too!

Of course, for even more good luck, you can purchase a red ribbon and tie it to a tree or attach it to areas of the temple.

We made it just in time to see these two lovely ladies play some music for us.

When we got back to the hotel, we had about an hour to get ready for 3 of the other families to get their babies (ours would be meeting us at the adoption center later). It was such a blessing to be with them on this special day! I took pictures for the other families and cried a lot! It’s just such an overwhelming experience seeing a parent meet their child for the first time!
